9 Features your Website Needs

Your Website is your online home and #1 Client Conversion Machine, so whether you’ve had your business for years or you’re just starting out, don’t forget to add these key 9 features on your website to convert your audience into clients.

  1. STRONG BRANDING

Your branding is what will set your website apart from the crowd.

So make sure that your logo, colors, fonts, graphics, and photos truly showcase your unique MAGIC to make your website STAND OUT + magnetize your soulmate clients.

  2. CLEARLY STATING WHO YOU ARE + WHAT YOU DO

THE most important thing when it comes to your website is CLARITY.

There’s nothing more confusing then landing on someone’s website and not know what exactly it is that they do.

Fix this by adding your Brand Statement (aka WHAT you do + WHO you help + HOW you help them) at the top of your website so your viewers will see it instantly.

  3. EASY NAVIGATION

Clarity is KING and one of the worst things you can do is make people have to decipher your site.

Make your website easy to navigate by limiting the amount of tabs you have on your navigation and making them clear.

Think “Services or Work with Me” vs “MAGIC CAULDRON.” Sure the second one is more fun + creative but it’s also confusing AF.

  4. MOBILE OPTIMIZATION

Over 56% of your website viewers are mobile. This is why it’s so important to make sure your website is mobile optimized so it looks as good on mobile as it does on desktop.

This is one of the reasons I love Squarespace. Squarespace automatically optimizes your website for mobile, and with a little coding you can adjust it to your liking.

  5. BLOG

Something that is completely undervalued is blogging.

Blog is NOT dead. And it is a great tool to add TONS of value to your website.

Not only is it a great tool to drive traffic, but it builds your authority + positions you as the expert in your niche.

So even if someone is not ready to buy, they will still consume your content and see as the GO TO for whenever they’re ready to buy.

  6. EMAIL OPT-IN

While social media is amazing to grow your audience, you don’t own any of it. However, you do own your email list and being able to send an email directly to someone’s inbox is GOLD.

Just like your blog, having an email list allows you to “warm up” your leads by delivering consistent value to their inbox, so you stay top of mind whenever they are ready to buy.

  7. TESTIMONIALS

Social proof is everything and you NEED to have testimonials on your website! Because one, people want to know you’re legit, and two they want to know your clients have gotten RESULTS.

I personally recommend adding 3-5 testimonials on each page with the exception on your About Page. And depending on your sales pages, I would recommend adding even more testimonials. Whether that’s text, video, or screenshots.

Pro Tip: Keep them short. No one wants to read huge chunks of text, so if edit your client’s testimonials to include only the most important details.

  8. FAQs

Something I see missing on a lot of websites are FAQs. I also recommend adding FAQs to your sales pages, to answer the most common questions you get about your offer. This way, your viewers can get the answers they need without having to reach out to you.

This will save you time and give you more qualified leads.

  9. SEO OPTIMIZATION

Don’t skip SEO! While it can be a little overwhelming here are some easy things you can add to your website today to improve your SEO:

  • Fill out the SEO section of your website (should be under settings)

  • Add clear titles on all your pages

  • Make sure all your links are working

  • Make sure your links have clear names (no page1, page2, page3)

  • Add an SEO description for each page with relevant keywords

  • Change the names of all your photos for relevant keywords

  • Have a blog you post on consistently. It’s more important that you post on the same day + time every week (or month) vs posting every day at a random time.

Those are the top 9 features you NEED on your website. How did you do? Do you have all of these features or are you missing any? Let me know in the comments below!

xx, Angela
