5 Things you Need on your Homepage
Your homepage is the first thing people see when they land on your site and just like you dress to impress on a first date, your homepage needs to make the same impact.
So let’s get right to it… Here are the 5 elements that you need to make your homepage stand out and be the best it can be.
1. POWERFUL + CLEAR BRAND STATEMENT
When someone lands on your site, they should instantly be able to tell what you do and if your services are right for them.
Your Brand Statement is your elevator pitch, where you state in WHAT you do, WHO you help and HOW you help them as clear and concise as possible. This is where your messaging + positioning comes into play by infusing your personality and what makes you unique into your copy.
2. EMAIL OPT-IN
Just because someone isn’t ready to buy right now, doesn’t mean they will never buy.
So whether it’s a free PDF, workbook, or challenge… Make sure to add an opt-in that your ideal client wants, so you can continue to grow + nurture them through your email list.
3. MINI ABOUT ME SECTION
Your ideal client wants to work with YOU.
This is why having a short about me section on your homepage is super powerful, because gives someone a glimpse of who you are and how you’re the right person to help them without having to click and read through your whole about me page.
4. CLEAR OFFERS + CTA’S
A confused mind doesn’t buy.
This is why you need to keep your offers as clear + concise as possible, so your ideal client doesn’t get overwhelmed with too many options.
Pro Tip: Make sure to add CTA’s (or Call to Actions) to tell your ideal client exactly what they need to do next, whether that’s book now, learn more, get in touch, etc.
5. SOCIAL PROOF
People want to see "proof" before they spend thousands of dollars to work with you.
Word of mouth is the most powerful marketing tool you have. And adding social proof on your website by posting your client's testimonials or videos builds trust + credibility with your new audience.
BONUS TIP!
I highly, highly recommend adding a blog to your website that you update consistently. Not only doesn’t provide incredible value for your ideal clients and has them binge reading all of your posts, but having a blog with great SEO will rank your website higher, meaning more eyes on your content.
